In recent years, corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become an increasingly important aspect of business. CSR involves companies taking responsibility for their impact on society and the environment, and making efforts to contribute positively to these areas. One way that companies can do this is by supporting local communities and businesses through events like the one organized by CCL RE-ENGINEERING in Ranchi.

The Tribal HAAT, a group of artisans from the local tribal community, recently participated in such an event. They set up several stalls showcasing their crafts, including a bamboo haat, a sujni haat, a lac haat, a dhokra haat, and a jute haat. These stalls provided a platform for the artisans to showcase their traditional crafts and generate income for themselves and their communities.

The bamboo haat featured various bamboo products, such as baskets, mats, and furniture, which are popular in the region due to their durability and eco-friendliness. The sujni haat displayed intricate embroidery work done by women from the community, showcasing their skills and creativity. The lac haat featured lacquer products, which are unique to the region and are made using a traditional technique. The dhokra haat displayed brass artifacts made using the lost-wax casting technique, a traditional method that has been passed down through generations. Finally, the jute haat showcased various jute products, such as bags and mats, which are eco-friendly and sustainable.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for the Tribal HAAT to promote their crafts and generate income for their communities. It also allowed them to interact with other artisans and learn from them, leading to the exchange of ideas and the promotion of cultural diversity. Overall, the event was a success, and it demonstrated the importance of CSR initiatives in promoting local communities and businesses.
